The Gionee Pioneer P3 held relevance when it was launched as the specs scream 'Dated' when you look at the current state of the Indian smartphone market. A 1700mAH battery has been tasked with powering the Gionee Pioneer P3 and should last for 12 hours of talktime on a single full charge. A 5-megapixel camera finds its way on the back of Pioneer P3 and a 0.3-megapixel front camera handles the selfie duties on the phone. The smartphone has a 4.3-inch screen which puts out display resolution of 480x800 pixels. It has 4GB internal memory which can be expanded further up to 32GB using a microSD card. It can handle two SIM cards at once and there is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Gionee Pioneer P3 comes packed with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 512MB RAM. The good part about the move was the phone was launched in the budget segment, so it did not(we wish such is the case) cost them dear but what was bad was the move placed them in a bad position when it came to customers as they went away with a bad first impression of Gionee. However, there was a time when it did not know much about the Indian market and as a result, launched the Pioneer P3. Gionee has been in the Indian smartphone market for some time now and has gained some important insights about its idiosyncrasies as well.
